Human Sex Trafficking

It is estimated that there are 1.39 million victims of
commercial sex servitude worldwide. Trafficking of
women is the second largest organized crime today,
generating about $12 billion a year.
The life of a trafficking victim typically involves rape,
beatings, deception and constant threats. Human
trafficking victims can be forced to service from 40
to 110 customers per day. These victims are often
confined to unsanitary living conditions where
malnutrition and sleep deprivation become everyday
occurances. The probability of contracting STD's,
Hepatitis B & C, and AIDS increases daily.
