Is Cozzee a non-profit?
No, Cozzee is a for-profit company that chooses to do something
a little different with its profits. Most for-profit companies either
reinvest their profits into their business or pay profits out to
shareholders in the form of dividends. Cozzee, however, gives
its profits away to make a difference in our world and allows its
customers to choose which cause they want to fight.
How do you run a business while giving all profits away?
For any business, profits only exist after you've made your product,
paid your employees and covered any other business related expense.
Cozzee works in the same way. But the great thing about Cozzee is,
because we are an online company, we keep our expenses low,
leaving us more money to impact our world.
How do you choose your causes?
We wish we could tackle every crisis affecting our world. But of course
we know we can't fight them all (at least at one time!). So we narrowed
down our list to issues we felt were heavy hitters facing our planet today.
Each cause we fight is incredibly important and widespread, and we're
confident that our customers will be able to find a cause among our list
that is near and dear to their hearts.
What organizations do you support with profits?
Like you, we want every dollar given away to have maximum impact
and get where it's needed most. With this in mind, we choose national
or global organizations that have proven to be effective, both in the fight
against that cause, and in their use of resources.
Can I write my Cozzee purchases off as tax deductions?
Cozzee purchases are not donations, and are therefore not tax deductible.
When do you start roasting my coffee?
Our roasting process starts with your order. When you place your order
online before 5pm Eastern Time, your order is roasted in the early morning
the following business day.
How long will it take for my coffee to get to me?
Your coffee will be shipped within 2 business days after you place your
order. FedEx shipping timelines vary based on shipping location, but most
of our customers will receive their order about 3 business days from
shipment. Of course, these are guidelines, not guarantees. If you need a
shipment guaranteed by a certain time, please select 2 Day or Overnight
delivery.
How long will my coffee stay fresh?
The more that coffee is exposed to oxygen the more quickly the coffee will
lose its freshness. For that reason, we've made sure that all of our coffee
bags are both vacuum sealed and valve sealed. Our vacuum sealing processes
ensures that all of the gas is removed from the bags after your coffee has
been freshly roasted. Our handy dandy one-way degassing valve then allows
the CO2 that is naturally emitted from freshly roasted coffee to escape from
the bag while preventing oxygen from getting into the bag. That means that
you can enjoy your coffee for up to 4 - 6 weeks after your purchase! It also
helps save on shipping costs by being able to buy multiple freshly roasted
coffee bags in one shipment.
How should I store my coffee?
Your coffee should be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, dark place to maintain
maximum freshness.
How much do you charge for shipping?
Your shipping rate is what FedEx charges us. This usually breaks down
to between $5 and $9 to ship one 12oz bag by FedEx Ground to anywhere
in the contiguous United States. We do, however, offer occasional shipping
incentives that allow our customers to ship at extremely discounted rates
or even free. Click here to check if any shipping promotions are currently
available. Your shopping cart will calculate your final shipping rates for
your purchase during check-out.
*Please note*- when choosing the FedEx Ground option, shipping to a
commercial address is less expensive than shipping to a residential address.
Can I add to an order I've already placed?
At this time, we aren't able to add to orders that have already been placed
online. If your order has not yet been sent for roasting, we can, however,
cancel your existing order and you can place a new one. Please send us an
