Love Beyond Walls uses art and creativity as a starting point to restore dignity to the homeless men, women and youth in Atlanta through their new social entrepreneurship program called Dignity Art. As homeless individuals who seek assistance from Love Beyond Walls often arrive with little hope and direction for their life, the goal of Dignity Art is to show people that their circumstances do not dictate their worth and offer them an opportunity at dignified and creative work.

The Dignity Art Program offers hope and direction by teaching the homeless how to take reclaimed wood and turn it into art that is then auctioned off to create income. Individuals like Bruce, who were unable to find work and struggling to survive on the streets, have been able to use their hands to produce and sell unique artwork made of reclaimed wood. Your bag of Cozzee coffee will help Love Beyond Walls build out their new Dignity Art Program project space called the Dignity Shed. The Dignity Shed will store materials and tools and provide a safe place for the individuals to create their art.

In 2013, Love Beyond Walls was created as an untraditional organization that primarily focuses on raising awareness of the homeless and other societal needs. With founders, Terence and Cecilia Lester, Love Beyond Walls has lead a couple hundred creative service projects, worked among the homeless, in schools, in communities, and has mobilized over 700 volunteers to take love into environments where it doesn’t exist—partnering with churches, businesses, and individuals.
